2018 Dan Gradings

Today the United Kingdom Aikikai held it's dan gradings at Worcester University.
It is our pleasure to announce two members of Ren Shin Kan deserving of recognition.

Michael Smith on passing his Shodan examination and Martin Penrose who was awarded Shodoin, congratulations to you both on your well deserved achievements.

Peter Brady 7th Dan Shihan

As some of you will know Peter Brady Shihan recently passed away.

Peter will be sorely missed at Ren Shin Kan as well as many other dojos within not only the UKA but other UK and international dojos. He faced his illness with great fortitude and his usual good humour and his loss is keenly felt by us all.

His funeral is this Thursday 26th July and there will be no classes at RSK that evening as a mark of respect.

Classes will resume on Friday when a minutes silence will be held in Peters memory at the beginning of the session.

AGM Date Set

The annual general meeting for Ren Shin Kan is scheduled to take place on the 24th May at 19:30-20:30 this places it between the 2 evening classes to give the greatest opportunity for people to attend with the minimum disruption to classes or personal timetables.
