UKA Winter Course 2019

Saturday 16th

On the 16th and 17th of March RSK was proud to host the United Kindom Aikikai’s Winter School, a major event that allows senior teachers from the UKA to pass their knowledge onto students that may not otherwise get the opportunity to see them.

The event opened with UKA Course Secretary Neil Mould and featured instruction from the following senior instructors:

  • Neil Mould (5th Dan Shidoin, So Ten Juku)

  • Gordon Jones (7th Dan Shihan, Ren Shin Kan)

  • Philip Smith (7th Dan Shihan, Ren Shin Kan)

  • Adam Hurlin (5th Dan Shidoin, Furinkazan)

  • Eddie McCalla (6th Dan Shihan, San Raku Kan)

  • Cliff Price (6th Dan Shidoin, Myo Shin Juku)

  • Martin Penrose (5th Dan Shidoin, Ren Shin Kan)

Certificates were awarded to the following students who had successfully passed yudansha examinations during the latter half of last year:

  • Dean Evans (Shodan)

  • Kerry Summers (Shodan)

  • Robert Morton (Nidan)
